Year One: 2018 – White & Gold Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar

The first project involved producing a luxurious advent calendar for Harrods filled with premium beauty, cosmetics, and fragrance products — an ultimate gift for beauty lovers.

Printed Advent Calendar Design
The design was inspired by Harrods’ historic building, with a 3D gold-foiled image adorning the front. The exterior featured a Fine Linen Wibalin textured paper in white, accented by elegant black and gold foil printing, enhancing the sophistication and exclusivity of the branded advent calendar. Every detail, from the cover to the drawers, coordinated around a central luxurious concept.

Each beauty cosmetics advent calendar consisted of 25 compartments, housing a curated selection of skincare, makeup, and fragrance treats. Gold foiling throughout added a refined touch, ensuring it stood out as a premium offering among cosmetic advent calendars on the market.

Custom Advent Calendar Structure
Crafted from 3mm rigid board, the structure ensured sturdiness and long-lasting quality. A magnetic closure system provided a satisfying “snap” when the calendar doors were shut, further elevating the customer’s unboxing experience.

Inside, 25 sturdy drawers constructed from 1500-micron board held the luxurious gifts, each fitted with a sleek internal ribbon for easy drawer access. This meticulous construction created a luxurious advent calendar experience, blending beauty and functionality seamlessly.

Year Two: 2021 – Blue & Gold 25 Days of Harrods Beauty Calendar

Following the success of the 2018 project, Harrods returned to develop an updated and equally impressive luxury advent calendar for 2021.

Custom Branded Slip Case and Presentation
For this second project, an additional custom branded slip case was developed, providing extra protection and enhancing the presentation value.
Crafted from a 3mm white lined board and covered in Fine Linen Wibalin navy textured paper, the slipcase was finished with exquisite gold foiling, creating a regal blue-and-gold theme consistent with Harrods’ luxurious brand image.

The slipcase not only protected the custom advent calendar during shipping but also enhanced its giftable appeal, making it a true collector’s item even beyond the festive season.

Luxury Advent Calendar Build
The inner calendar itself was built from a 4-board case with a hinge structure, holding two beige inner trays and a rigid black-lined board framework to house 25 individually crafted drawers.

Constructed from 1000-micron rigid board, each drawer maintained the premium quality that customers expected from a luxury advent calendar. Elegant ribbon pulls, hidden inside each drawer, allowed easy access while maintaining a sleek finish.

The detailed coordination of design elements — from the exterior slipcase to the inner drawers — ensured a seamless and luxurious customer experience.
